Here is this week's sketch from Operation Write Home. The background paper is a kraft card stock with a clear embossed pattern that I distressed slightly with chocolate chip ink. The scalloped border was punched from a metallic patterned paper (retired) and the natural trim ribbon, which is my all-time favorite, was distressed and tied with the magic bow maker.
What a perfect dad card! The embossing is beautiful- and I love your ribbon- very texture! TFS
ReplyDeleteOh, echoing Diane! That is a wonderful father's day card and I love the idea of distressing the ribbon! The typewriter looking font is also perfect with it.
ReplyDeleteNow that is really textured "ribbon" almost burlap, you were so lucky to get that into a nice looking bow. Nice mans card.
ReplyDeleteGreat card...love that you change the orientation...love the textures/colors!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, nice job with the embossing on this one.
ReplyDeleteThe burlap ribbon adds great texture - well done!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to turn the sketch! Love the burlap-like ribbon. Excellent Father's Day card!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool dad card, and I love that burlap!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific Dad card. Love how the distressing turned out on the embossed paper. I'm a big fan of these tone on tone colors and the burlap like ribbon is the perfect touch.
