Happy May! Here is this week's card for Operation Write Home's sketch #223. I created the image by stamping with bleach on espresso cardstock and applied gold ink with the Stampin' Up! air spritzer. I cut the image about 2/3 of the way down and layered it on several pieces of cardstock. The ribbon was tied using the bow maker.
Back on March 23, 2012 I posted the instructions for the baby wipe technique and at that time that I thought wet paper towels or napkins could be substituted for baby wipes. Well, after several attempts I found that it didn't work. It turns out that baby wipes have just the right amount of moisture to simulate a stamp pad. Who knew. Anyway here is my card swap for the month.
Joe's niece Alicia, her husband David and son Lane are expecting twins in September but unfortunately we won't be able to make her baby shower in Oregon. I recycled her invitation to make this new baby card. Thanks to Lee Conrey for her most excellent bow maker.
