2020 Christmas Cards

For the last 20 years or so I have been making Christmas cards for approximately 50 of our friends, family and business acquaintances. Each year there is a lesson to be learned and never repeated again. This year's lesson was to not make the card so bulky that it is classified as a small package by USPS. What a nightmare! To think that I could send this card to Ireland for less than it cost to send it in the US is absolutely absurd. Kudos to the staff at PostalAnnex+ in Yucaipa, CA for hand typing all the addresses into the postal machine. You are Saints. The wood slices came from Rustic Wood Supply and yes, the wood slice is an ornament than can be removed from the card. Merry Christmas to everyone. Be Safe!

O' Christmas Tree Layout

Although we are always traveling over the holidays, we put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Almost every ornament is different and most have a story behind them. Enjoy! For this layout I used a sketch from Rochelle Spears.

Happy Halloween!

This tag features another stamp from Tim Holtz's 2019 Stampers anonymous set along with four of the sentiments in the set. I fussy cut around this guy and added shadow with colored pencils. Hopefully you're noticing my awesome faux candles made out of cardstock, hot glue and twine. They really came out cool. For a step by step video head over to Tim's Facebook page.

Happy Birthday #2

One of my best friend's from high school is celebrating a birthday this month. She has been going through some tough times with her parents and doesn't take much time for herself. Although it's a small gesture, I thought this Tim Holtz inspired butterfly card would put a smile on her face. The paper is from Idea-ology and the butterfly stamp is from SU.

Happy Birthday!

I made this Birthday card for my sister-in-law who loves gardening and has a beautiful yard. The focal point of this card is a wooden trellis/gate from Wycinanka. The papers are from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology 8"x8" Etcetera pack.

Cocoa Daisy Tag Album

Several years ago I subscribed to Cocoa Daisy's monthly Travelers Notebook Kit Club and had a ton of fun documenting my daily life for almost year. Recently I subscribed to Cocoa Daisy's Planner Kit and thought I would clean out my stash of Cocoa Daisy Products before my new kit arrived. I used leftovers from one of their beach themed kits to create this cute tag album.

Lawn Fawn Iris Card

The inspiration for this fun Lawn Fawn Iris Card came from Kelly Marie Alvarez's tutorial video. It came out a little wonky but not too bad for my first time. All of the images were taken from the internet. Papers are from SU.

Drive By Birthday

I made these the night before an impromptu drive by birthday. I totally CASE'd the posters from whatever showed up in google (sorry for not linking sources). White poster board was 24"x36", rainbow banners and embellishments were made with 6 sheets of 8.5"x11" cardstock, and  I did all the lettering with Crayola markers.

Social Distancing

Who would have thought the new normal would be Zoom and Houseparty online events to celebrate birthdays? This month there have been many but here are two screenshots of online birthday parties that I hosted. The inspiration for this layout came from My Creative Scrapbook's May Sketch.

Another Bridge Card

I am totally loving this Golden Gate bridge stamp from Etsy. This time I embossed in gold and splattered inside and out with gold ink. Happy 13th Birthday Nathan!

Pandemic Layout

The inspiration for this layout came from one of the Spring 2020 sketches from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine. For those of us fortunate enough to still be  going into the office a few days a week, this is our current normal...no traffic.

Tag Birthday Card

I've had this tag sitting in my scrap pile forever and had never thought of using it on a card until recently. The butterfly was a last minute addition to what was meant to be a masculine card. Happy Birthday Chip!

Bridge Card

I purchased this stamp from Etsy for another project and thought it would make a great masculine birthday card stamp.

Anytime Card

I recently subscribed to Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine and used this sketch for what I'm calling the Anytime Card. If you haven't checked out their website you're missing out. I would highly recommend subscribing to the magazine (it's so beautiful), you can also download it from their website. What?!

Random Tag

This morning I watched Tim Holtz live on FB and was inspired to create this tag. I'm not sure when or where I got this magazine photo but for reason I kept it in my stash.

Uncharted Territory

The inspiration for this page came from Wendy P Designs and her pandemic freebies. We are definitely in uncharted territory these days. Stay safe and stay home!

Happy Birthday!

For fifteen years I have been gifting a photobook to my niece. Over the years I've switched between Snapfish and Shutterfly, and have never been disappointed. This one was made with Snapfish. Happy Birthday!

Best Friend Valentine

I made this for one of my besties from high school. She is one of the best people I know and has apparently kept every card I've ever made for her.

Happy Birthday Easel Cards

Yeah, I know it's been a while. This month my mother and my best friend from college celebrated birthdays so I broke out the old easel card. Wow, did I forget how cool these were and how much the recipients love having something that they can sit on their desk or table. Most of the supplies came from my SU stash with distressing courtesy of Tim Holtz. Enjoy!
