Fresh Start Lettering Challenge - Days 1 and 2

Happy September! As you can tell, motivation has been lacking this summer so I decided to shift gears and join this daily lettering challenge posted by @HowToHandLetter on Instagram. Happy Halloween Cards

I made these cards for my niece and nephew who are 12 and 10. The papers are from SU and have been in my stash forever. The two photos at the bottom are closeups from the inside of each card.

Happy Birthday Card

One of my best friends from high school celebrated her birthday on October 20th. I consider her to be a greeting card aficionado since she works in the card industry.  This card was made using leftover card stock from Cocoa Daisy and the "birthday" sentiment is my own brush lettering using a brushables marker.

I found this quote from Penny Bolder, a Cancer Survivor, on the University of Michigan's website. I thought it would make a wonderful card for someone going through a tough time. ...my first brush lettering project on vellum.
