August Sketch - Better Late than Never

Here is my take on The Scrap Gals sketch for August. Most of the embellishments came from free sources like digitalscrapbook.com.

R.I.P. Cousin Haddy

This past week the girls had to say goodbye to Cousin Haddy. Since 2016 she lived with Aunt Mary where she had an awesome life being an only child. A constant shadow with tons of attitude. She will be missed.

Procreate Tutorial Art

Over the last 6 months or so I've really gotten into digital artwork using the Procreate app on my iPad. So far I've been following @tatyworks on YouTube and recreating her pieces through her tutorials. Here is what I've done so far.

Happy Birthday - 52

I recently received a scrapbook.com gift card from The Scrap Gals and picked up this cool freebie Camera Die and Embossing Folder. The dog is from the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Dogs set.

Happy Birthday - 14

Here is the last of three masculine birthday cards for this month. This was actually the first card that I made in the series. Same papers and ephemera used on the other two.

The Scrap Gals - NSD Challenge (Cluster)

On National Scrapbook Day I made seven digital layouts following the prompts posted by Tiffany, Tracie and all of their wonderful guests. The challenge for this layout was to use a cluster of embellishments. "The View" is from my office window and the star of the show in my opinion is the paper.

Happy Mother's Day!

Beautiful sticker sheets from papergame.co served as the base for this card. While they were advertised as Japanese, the writing is most likely Chinese. The washi tape and the butterfly/moth rub ons are from Cocoa Daisy. The sentiment is from SU.

Happy Birthday - 73

Here is birthday card number 2 for the month. Same papers and elements. The sentiment is from Heidi Swapp.

Happy Birthday - 64

This month my family is celebrating three birthdays. Here is the first card that I made using paper from a Tim Holtz Ideology paper pack (I think) and ephemera that I've had for years. All three cards were made on the same day and have a similar theme.

The Scrap Gals - April Challenge

Here is this month's sketch from The Scrap Gals. This is a spring ski trip that my husband took with his best friend to Mammoth Mountain and as luck would have it he ran into another friend that he's known for 30 years. ...small world.

Sympathy Cards for Men

I guess you would say that these cards are not your traditional sympathy cards but what can you really say when a husband loses a wife at such a young age? One that loves fishing and the other with a new found appreciation for golf. May you rest in peace Teresa and Libby.

Double Diamond Fold Card

Last week was my niece's 16th Birthday and I thought this double diamond fold card from Lisa Curcio at Lisa's Stamp Studio would be really cool and unique. I also made an accompanying St. Patrick's Day card using the same papers and stamps. The best thing about Lisa's card is that it fits in a standard A2 envelope and doesn't require extra postage.

Dragonfly Birthday Cards

This is one of the first stamps I ever bought from SU. For these cards I stamped the image on watercolor paper with archival ink and then used a mixture of watercolors and misting sprays to get the desired effect. No matching die here, just a lot of fussy cutting.

The Scrap Gals - March Challenge

It's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share this layout that I did for the The Scrap Gals. If you haven't listened to their podcast on pod.fan I would highly encourage you to do so. It's not free but totally worth it. This particular page was done in honor of my sister-in-law that passed away from cancer on March 3rd. Unfortunately we've had two other close family deaths occur in 2021 and I hope to honor those women as well.
