Happy New Year and welcome to another year of cards made from Operation Write Home sketches. I have to admit that I really struggled with this week's sketch. I think it was partially due to the fact that I didn't have any fancy circle cutters or dies but mostly because everyone else's cards were so darn cute. Just when I was ready to give up I found this scrunched up piece of paper, tossed out my layered pieces and voila, done.
The scrunched paper is perfect! Adds great texture to the very many color combination.
ReplyDeleteYour card is just beautiful! I struggled with the sketch too...I think it was because of all the layers with the circles. I love using that raffia stuff, wish I had thought of that!
ReplyDeleteThis card is wonderful! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool! Love the texture your scrunchy part adds. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on this weeks's sketch, so glad you didn't give up. Your card has such warm, art gallery feel to it, definitely a modern piece of art. I love all the textures and scales, adds great dimension! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad you didn't give up. It ended up coming together beautifully. Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteAnd the scrunched paper is perfect! Your card is one of my favorites this week. The colors and textures are fabulous.
