Happy 16th Birthday to my nephew Nathan! A really great kid with a big heart.  This was taken at Virginia Tech where he volunteered in the 3.2 mile Run in Remembrance event. #WeAreVT #NeverForget #HokieBird

The Scrap Gals - NSD Challenge (Cluster)

On National Scrapbook Day I made seven digital layouts following the prompts posted by Tiffany, Tracie and all of their wonderful guests. The challenge for this layout was to use a cluster of embellishments. "The View" is from my office window and the star of the show in my opinion is the paper.

The Scrap Gals - April Challenge

Here is this month's sketch from The Scrap Gals. This is a spring ski trip that my husband took with his best friend to Mammoth Mountain and as luck would have it he ran into another friend that he's known for 30 years. ...small world.

The Scrap Gals - March Challenge

It's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share this layout that I did for the The Scrap Gals. If you haven't listened to their podcast on pod.fan I would highly encourage you to do so. It's not free but totally worth it. This particular page was done in honor of my sister-in-law that passed away from cancer on March 3rd. Unfortunately we've had two other close family deaths occur in 2021 and I hope to honor those women as well.

O' Christmas Tree Layout

Although we are always traveling over the holidays, we put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Almost every ornament is different and most have a story behind them. Enjoy! For this layout I used a sketch from Rochelle Spears.

Social Distancing

Who would have thought the new normal would be Zoom and Houseparty online events to celebrate birthdays? This month there have been many but here are two screenshots of online birthday parties that I hosted. The inspiration for this layout came from My Creative Scrapbook's May Sketch.

Pandemic Layout

The inspiration for this layout came from one of the Spring 2020 sketches from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine. For those of us fortunate enough to still be  going into the office a few days a week, this is our current normal...no traffic.

Uncharted Territory

The inspiration for this page came from Wendy P Designs and her pandemic freebies. We are definitely in uncharted territory these days. Stay safe and stay home!

Stick It Down - June Layout

We are very fortunate to live in an area surrounded by National Forest with hiking trails and Forest Service roads where we can let our dogs run loose for the most part. This was taken on one of my favorite hiking roads where you can see and smell the beautiful mountain lupines. The sketch for this layout came from Stick It Down.

Stick It Down - May Layout

Last weekend we celebrated Joe's birthday at The State restaurant. Can you believe he rode his bike 33 miles to the restaurant and didn't even break a sweat? This inspiration for this layout came from Stick It Down's One Page Sketch.

Stick It Down - February Sketch

Kobi and Reggie are our two rescue dogs and as you can see they are super spoiled; I think the title says it all. All the papers are from SU. Here is the single page sketch from Stick It Down.

My Creative Scrapbook - February

We successfully completed our annual Tour de Palm Palm Springs ride. While the temps were in the 40s at the start it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. Here is the link to My Creative Scrapbook's sketch for February.

Stick It Down - January Single Page

This was our first training ride of the year. The trail was in relatively good shape and as you can see the weather was awesome for January. We are less than one month away from the Tour de Palm Springs so hopefully we get a few more rides in. For this layout I followed the single page sketch from Stick it Down.

My Creative Scrapbook - November

For this month's sketch from My Creative Scrapbook, I thought this picture from Jennifer and Tyler's wedding last month would be perfect. The frame cluster was a freebie and the background paper is from SU. Happy Thanksgiving!
