Here is the card that I made for my Adopt-A-School teacher. I made another 38 cards for her to either give to her students or have them decorate for their parents. In place of the sentiment in the sketch from Stick It Down I replace it with the cute little dog from SU.

Tim Holtz - 12 Tags of 2016 (Feb)
This month's tag from Tim features a really cool 50s era vintage photo and a coordinating background made with a lace stencil. I decided to switch it up a bit by using a dark SU patterned paper with a current selfie made to look vintage. The sentiments in the background are Heidi Swapp and embossed with gold SU powder. The flower is handmade.

Tim Holtz - 12 Tags of 2015 (Feb)
Happy February! Here is my tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2015 challenge. This month I used an eclectic mix of items to recreate Tim's look. The card base is Real Red cardstock from Stampin' Up; other SU items include the ribbon, silver wire, brads, buttons, chipboard arrow and heart, silver embossing powder, inks, newspaper print paper, love rub on and newsprint washi tape. The oval frame, the sentiment and a few of the background papers are from other vendors.

Card Swap - Ghosting Technique
Here is this month's swap for the Ghosting Technique. Instead of embossing the background with clear embossing powder, I took a shortcut and used craft cardstock that was already embossed. After sponging on Stampin' Up! Rhabarberrot ink, I wiped the surface with a clean paper towel to remove the ink from the embossed areas. I then applied two different widths of tape down the length of the card and attached a stamped and punched heart with Stampin' dimensionals.

OWH - Sketch #158
Here is this week's sketch from Operation Write Home. The heart banner and the text were cut from Newsprint DSP using my silhouette. I then applied cherry cobbler ink using a sponge and added faux stitching in white. Both were originally intended for my Tim Holtz tag but they just didn't work out. I thought they went well with the woodgrain texture in the background since they were fairly light and airy.

Tim Holtz - 12 Tags of 2013 (Feb)
Happy February! Here is my take on Tim's queen of hearts tag. Although I love his stamp set, I chose to use a free printable from Martha Stewart as the anchor for my tag. I used Cherry Cobbler ink on the tag base, the ribbon and the hearts. The custom brad, key, rhinestones, woodgrain embossing folder, tag punch, rub on sentiment, other inks and cardstock are all from Stampin' Up! I covered the entire tag base with crystal effects and dried it with a heat gun to give it that textured shiny effect. The black twine and safety pin came off of a clothing tag from christmas.
