Stuck?! Layout #1 (Mar) - Adventures

For this month's first layout for Stuck?!Sketches I used three more photos from our ride last month in Palm Springs. I layered five circles in the background but ultimately put a piece of vellum over them as it was too dark and distracting.

Stuck?! Layout #3 (Feb) - Le Tour

A few weeks ago we participated in the Tour de Palm Springs, an annual charity ride that we've been doing for 3 years. The weather was absolutely perfect as was the company. This is my third layout for the month for Stuck?!Sketches.

Stuck? Layout #2 (Feb) - Le Ride

Earlier this month we had the opportunity to meet Phil Keoghan from the Amazing Race after a screening of his film "Le Ride". Phil rode the 1928 route of the Tour de France on a vintage bicycle over the course of 26 days. I followed this month's second sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.

Stuck?! Layout #1 (Feb) - Fly Eagles Fly

I deviated slightly from this month's sketch from Stuck?!Sketches by using only one photo instead of two so I could preserve the skyline in the background. The Eagles title came from PNG Clipart and the skyline came from PinArt.

Over the holidays I had a chance to visit with my college roommate. We took two quick selfies in the freezing cold that I thought went perfectly with the 2nd sketch from Stuck?! Sketches. I also wanted to give a shout out to all those wonderful gals that comment on my layouts every month, thank you!

Late last year we purchased some property out of State and I thought these photos worked well with the Stuck?! Sketches layout for January. The background paper is from a retired set called "My Sweet Pea" from SU.

For this month's second sketch from Stuck?! Sketches I wanted to highlight my practice selfies to showcase what I've been learning from Tiffany Lowder's Selfies 101 class. I took these pictures while working on my Christmas cards. Ugh! I can't believe I'm showing these. :)

For this month's second sketch from Stuck?!Sketches, I used a digital image of a football player that I found on the internet and reduced the opacity so it blended into the paint and paint splatter in the background. The papers are from SU.

Last week we visited Boston for the first time. Pictured in this layout for Stuck?! Sketches is Boston College's Alumni Stadium, Fenway Park and the Charles River from our hotel in Cambridge. Our selfie was taken in front of the Old State House along the Freedom Trail.

We are extremely fortunate to live near several US Forest areas and have the opportunity to go hiking whenever we'd like. Almost every time we go we see something new, so I thought this photo of a lone tree would go well with the second sketch of the month from Stuck?!Sketches.

For the August 15th challenge from Stuck?! Sketches I used some colorful photos from a car show and paired it with some unusual elements including celestial paper. Very apropos in light of the upcoming eclipse on the 21st.

Pictured are my husband's grand niece and nephew having some fun with props at a recent wedding renewal. Aren't they the cutest? The inspiration for this page came from Stuck?! Sketches' challenge for July. The brush script was a free download called Selima.
