Save Pete the Moose



The story of Pete and his human friend, David, is a unique tale. Pete was attacked by dogs and mauled when he was about 5 days old. Vermont Fish and Wildlife told the people who found Pete to let him die. They couldn't bear to just leave him there. So, they took him to a kind man named David Lawrence, and he nursed Pete back to health.  Click here for the rest of the story.

Sheep Fire - 8:15 AM

We are currently under voluntary evacuations; the east side of town is under mandatory evacuations. The sun is up but there doesn't appear to be any air support. There is no smoke or ash in Wrightwood but the winds are gusting which isn't a good thing. The fire started yesterday afternoon in Lytle Creek and has now spread to 3,500 acres.

Oh, Christmas Tree

This is the new pop-up Christmas Tree die from Stampin' Up! The tree measures 5" high and is approximately 3.5" at the base. The base of the tree is attached to the crease in the card so the tree pops up when the card is opened. Really, really cool.

Inspiration

Well here's the inspiration for my craft room, a craft table from Pottery Barn. Now you may be saying to yourself, "Who would spend over $1000 on a craft table?" Well, not me.


This is where the fun begins. Since Joe's dad, Pat, is a carpenter I had an easy solution. Have Pat build the craft table to my specifications. Great idea, saves money, and will surely look way better than what Pottery Barn can produce. Little did I know that this would lead to a complete renovation of our garage apartment.

Southern Oregon

Last weekend we flew to Oregon to attend Joe's nephew's wedding.   We also spent a day a Crater Lake which is the seventh deepest lake in the world.
