Birthday Card - Boy

The sea turtles for this card came from a World Wildlife Fund (@World_Wildlife) mailer that I received with 6 complimentary cards and mailing labels. I repurposed the turtles for this card and combined it with some really old Heidi Swapp travel themed paper. Happy Birthday!

Happy Mother's Day - Pop-up 3D Card

I found the template for this card on Martha Stewart's website. The paper is from SU but really old. I would recommend using something other than cardstock for the flowers; I'm thinking origami paper would work great.

Stick It Down - May Layout

Last weekend we celebrated Joe's birthday at The State restaurant. Can you believe he rode his bike 33 miles to the restaurant and didn't even break a sweat? This inspiration for this layout came from Stick It Down's One Page Sketch.

Stick It Down - Easter Card

For this month's card sketch from Stick It Down I went a little off course and took some liberties to make the sketch my own. This adorable little rabbit was leftover from another card and I had been looking for an opportunity to use this 6x6 paper. The orange grid on the right is actually the B side.

Metal Earth Model - Peacock

This was a gift from my brother and wow, is it beautiful. This model came from Metal Earth. To assemble this peacock I used tweezers that were included in the kit and jewelry wire cutters. It was fairly time consuming and not everything went perfectly but it all worked out.

 

Stick It Down - March One Page

Another great bike ride to benefit the Redlands Conservancy. Tons of SAG stops including three brewery stops.  The sketch for this month's layout can be viewed at Stick It Down.

Kobi and Reggie are our two rescue dogs and as you can see they are super spoiled; I think the title says it all. All the papers are from SU. Here is the single page sketch from Stick It Down.

We successfully completed our annual Tour de Palm Palm Springs ride. While the temps were in the 40s at the start it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. Here is the link to My Creative Scrapbook's sketch for February.

Stick It Down - January Card

Here is the card that I made for my Adopt-A-School teacher. I made another 38 cards for her to either give to her students or have them decorate for their parents. In place of the sentiment in the sketch from Stick It Down I replace it with the cute little dog from SU.

Stick It Down - January Single Page

This was our first training ride of the year. The trail was in relatively good shape and as you can see the weather was awesome for January. We are less than one month away from the Tour de Palm Springs so hopefully we get a few more rides in. For this layout I followed the single page sketch from Stick it Down.

It's been a busy few months and I haven't kept up with my scrapbooking. However I did manage to stay crafty over the holidays by making my first ever scarf which coincidentally matches one of my wool car coats perfectly. A few days ago I came across a cool video by Holly Pixels and decided to give it a try. Below are two family dog photos that I created using Procreate on an iPad.

Sequoia 6x6 Wedding Card

A few weeks ago we had the honor of attending a wedding just outside of Sequoia National Park in Three Rivers, CA. Most of the elements from the wedding card were recycled from the wedding invitation.

Stick It Down - September 2-Page Layout

Several weeks ago we went to San Antonio, Texas for the first time. I thought these pictures would work well on a 2-page layout for Stick It Down . A good part of our trip included a 5-hour bike tour of the Missions including the Alamo. Highly recommended and super impressed with the City.

My Creative Scrapbook - July

My husband's grand niece and grand nephew flew to CA today all by themselves (aka "unaccompanied minors"). As you can see from their mom's FB post they were in tears until they got to visit the SWA cockpit. The inspiration for this page came from my favorite sketch artist Laura Whitaker over at My Creative Scrapbook.
